Beau Wild is a native Floridian. She graduated from Tufts University and later attended The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, both in Boston, MA. She returned to Florida in 1983 after 22 years in New England. Since then, she has show her work widely in Florida Museums and galleries including the Museum of Florida Art, Florida Museum for Women Artists, Brevard Art Museum of Science and Industry and the Ormond Memorial Art Museum. Her work is included in corporate and private collections.
Today, in her studio Rose Bay, a lush tropical setting filled with light, air and beauty, she is free to follow her interior muse in any way she wishes. Finally untethered, she has experience in a dramatic world of losses and wins.
With a firm but sensitive hand, she continues in her characteristic way to render a new life for herself, affirming the fact that we all have within us the power to regenerate and grow beyond that which we previously imagined.
“As early as I can remember I was an observer. Several Questions intrigued me then and continue to intrigue me now – Why people do what they do? What motivates their actions and reactions? What makes us all “tick”? Whether it is an elderly woman's feeling of isolation, the outsider's anxiety when courting a new friend, the conflicting joy and sadness of the surrogate mother, the unforgotten lives of those who have passed, these deeply empathic connections are sensitive glimpses. While I assume the objective position of the observer, these glimpses open a small window through which I also look inside my own emotional life."
