Igor Raikhline was born in Kiev, Ukraine in 1950.
He studied in Kiev Fine Art Academy, where he was awarded a Masters Degree in Art and Architecture in 1974.
He moved to USA in 1990.
Art always was his passion and always will be.
Igor got his first International European Award for Outstanding and Gifted Children when he was 7 years old. During his 45 years as a professional artist, he has participated in hundreds of solo & group Fine Art Exhibitions worldwide. His art is in private and corporate collections in USA, Canada, Israel, Italy, France, Spain, England, Japan and other countries.
After moving to USA Igor participated in several nationwide projects. One of them being f project for Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta. His completion of three major Murals for The Age of Dinosaurs exhibit, totaling 1280 sq. ft. won him critical praise her in the US. Soon after this exhibition, he was granted a Green Card under the status of Outstanding Artist . The central mural is still one of the largest scientific Murals in an American Museums today.
For as long as he can remember he has painted and studied the history of art, traveling to museums, looking at masterpieces, and gathering inspiration from the geniuses of the past and present.
Igor was heavily influenced by the dreamy realism of the outstanding American artist Andrew Wyeth and drawn to detailing of early Flemish Art.
Igor is guilty of bouncing from realism to surrealism, to hyper-photo realism simply because he still enjoys the art process itself and is happy to be an artist.
