Bri was born in Salt Lake City, Utah during a Thanksgiving snow storm in 1952. He is a self taught artist who has been working in unused mediums for much of his career. In Utah, Bri was referred to as the "fisherman." He made paper mache fish and taught the Staten school children his craft through the Artist in Education Program.
His shadow boxes are reminiscent of Joseph Cornell. Recently, since moving to Atlanta in 2002, he has pursued purity as his current medium. Bri has his creative eye on future installations and performance art.
