ED COOPER
Ed Cooper received his Bachelor of Fine Art from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY and has worked as a graphic artist and illustrator in the Washington D.C. area. He is affiliated with the Art League of Alexandria, VA, the Washington Society of Landscape Painters, the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association (MAPAPA), and the Oil Painters of America (OPA). Mr. Cooper has written several articles about painting technique and style which have appeared in such publications as American Artist, Color, and International Artist and is also the recipient of numerous awards.
Mr. Cooper paints in the plein air style, which is to say, he captures natural light as it is reflected in landscapes. For his subject matter, he travels to the coastal marsh areas of Georgia, the outer banks of South Carolina and the rocky coast of Maine.
