I am self-taught, garnering knowledge and advice where I can; time, experience, life, trial and error - all wonderful teachers. The style of my work evolves and changes with my mood. Humor, emotion, and sometimes even a little playful sarcasm find their way into my work. I approach each piece with something of an idea, but rarely is the finished piece what I initially envisioned; it's taken time and much patience to realize that my best work happens when I "let go" and allow myself to play. When this happens the organic nature of each piece is revealed and with seemingly little guidance from me, each piece seems to actualize in my hands.
My work is a visual interpretation of my everyday life; the joy, the chaos, the quiet and precious space between big memorable moments. Whether I am attempting to tame the chaos or opening the door to it, it's all there, real and uncensored.
