Harold Kraus

Harold Kraus

Harold Kraus has been painting on and off most of his life, but didn't have any formal training until college at Lipscomb University (Nashville). He was actually going to be a minister and was a Bible major, Art minor. However, he flipped his majors about halfway through college. He has had his hands in interior design and have owned flower shops throughout his career.

All his life, he has been fascinated by the various properties of color. He believes “that many people live lives starved of color. It seems as if they are intimidated by it, so they surround themselves with 'safe' naturals like grey or beige”. His paintings aspire to fill this color void."
